I use only phones and tablets with AOSP (Android Open Source Project) and without any Google service on them since 2017.
Apart from not missing anything, and aware that the hardware and the kernel of most of the devices on the market are not completely clean, I still prefer this to the commercial verrsions of Android (not to even mention iOS) that most of the common users are unfortunately using.
It costs a bit of work and knowledge, some apps won’t work, but there are alternatives and work-arounds for almost everything.
